Friday Market Square (Vrijdagmarkt) is one of Ghent's large city squares. Located in the historical centre of Gent Belgium, a number of architecturally interesting buildings from the 18th century can be found on the Vrijdagmarkt square. One such building is the Bond Moyson Building.
The statue is the centre of the square commemorates Jacob Van Artevelde.
